About our Assistants
Kristi Bruyako CDA, EFDA
Kristi is a Columbus, Ohio native. She got her EFDA license from Sinclair Community College in 2018. Kristi has been with Schumacher & Bauer since 2014. Outside of work she loves the outdoors, rain or shine. Catch her on a walk or any adventure with her daughter Charlotte and dogs Max and Bub.
“Dr. Seuss once said, ‘Teeth are always in style’ and that’s my motto. I’ve always loved talking about oral hygiene and showing people how to brush since I was young, and now I get to do it every day. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and to never leave unsatisfied.”

Latasha Ellis CDA, EFDA
Tasha has lived in Columbus most of her life. She graduated from The South Western Career Academy where she obtained her certificate in dental assisting in 2011. She was an assistant for seven years before continuing her education at Sinclair Community College to become an EFDA. Fun fact: Latasha was one of the first EFDAs at Schumacher & Bauer. Outside of her impressive dental skills, Tasha loves shopping and doing wedding makeup. But her favorite activity? Snuggling up at home with her husband Charles, their son Hudson and their tiny, but mighty Yorkie, Braxton—who probably runs the house, let’s be honest.
“What I love most about dentistry and as an EFDA is treating my patients like family. When patients are in my care it is my passion to make them smile and feel good even though they are at the dentist's office.”
Hillarie Buchwalter, CDA, EFDA
Hillarie joined the Dental field in 2011 after graduating high school. She attended The Southwestern career academy in Grove city for Dental assisting her junior and senior year. In 2017 she received her Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary license from Sinclair community college, which allows her to place dental fillings. Other than her love for teeth, she has a strong love for her family of six: Her husband, Zachary, and four kids, Miley, Harper, Holden and Leo. They have a family dog named Baker, a mini goldendoodle.
“Keep your heels, head and standards high.”

Nadia Boggs-Trevino, RDH, EFDA
Nadia is from New Lexington, Ohio. She moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. While pursuing her degree she obtained her certification in EFDA. In Nadia’s free time she enjoys coaching and playing volleyball as well as spending time with her family and friends.
“I love educating my patients on their oral health and helping them feel confident about their smile. Having the knowledge in both Dental Hygiene and EFDA allows me to provide patients with the most comprehensive care."
