DR. THEODORE BAUER, DDS

Dr. Theodore (“Ted”) Bauer grew up in Ottawa, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he was involved in numerous student organizations and student government associations at varying levels, including President of the Inter-Professional Council. Dr. Bauer was recommended to this practice by E. Gordon Gee, president of The Ohio State University.

Dr. Bauer is a recipient of the Ohio State College of Dentistry Alumni Leadership Award and currently serves on the OSU College of Dental Hygiene Advisory Committee.

Dr. Bauer is a member of the Capital City Dental Forum, the Columbus Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, the OSU Dental Alumni Society and the Ohio State University Alumni Association. He is an Eagle Scout, and has served on the Ohio State Dental Board as an appointee of Ohio Governor John Kasich. Dr. Bauer is also a steering committee member for the Ohio Dental Association Dental OPTIONS program. Dr. Bauer has traveled to Guatemala multiple times with the CRISP foundation to perform dental services for those in need. A lifelong buckeye fan, he is the son of two Ohio State alumni.

Dr. Bauer and his two sons Will and Nolan live in Upper Arlington where they are gradually renovating and restoring their historic home. When he isn’t taking care of the kids or working on the house, he likes to spend his free time supporting local businesses, causes, and artists.

Dr. Bauer assumed ownership interest in the practice from Dr. David Rummel in 2013.

DR. AMY LAHM, DDS

Dr. Amy Lahm grew up in Oxford, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Neuropsychology before attending the University of Michigan College of Dentistry and attaining her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2002. She began her dental career in Chicago, IL and has also practiced in Milwaukee, WI and Boulder, CO while her husband of 15 years, Michael, trained as a Radiologist and ultimately moved back to the Columbus area to be closer to family and settled down in Powell. Dr. Lahm most recently worked at Blank Dental Group in Powell before joining the Schumacher & Bauer team.

She and Michael have 4 children who are all very active in athletics and keep them busy all year round. She enjoys cooking and is always on the hunt for new recipes that her children are willing to eat. When she’s not working as a dentist or cheering on her kids, Dr. Lahm likes to stay active and enjoys working out at OTF locally and taking trips to ski out in the mountains of the American West.

DR. MICHAEL SCHUMACHER, DDS

Dr. Schumacher is originally from Cincinnati Ohio and received the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship to attend The Ohio State University. He graduated with a Bachelor in Science in psychology in 1978 and then received his doctorate in dental science from the College of Dentistry in 1981.

Following dental school, Dr. Schumacher entered the US navy and was stationed at Paris Island, SC from 1981 until 1984. He left the Navy reserved in 1990 as a Lieutenant Commander.

In 1984 Dr. Schumacher began practicing in Columbus, Ohio at the same location that the practice is today. He is happily married to his wife Laurie. Outside of work he continues his lifelong enjoyment of golf and his newfound enjoyment of being a grandparent.
