Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

We here at Schumacher & Bauer want you to know that we are thankful for you, our wonderful patients!

We hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving and healthy winter season. The change in weather brings more chances of illness, and we want to help make sure you all stay healthy out there.

You’ve probably heard reminders to wash your hands or get a flu shot. You’ll want to make sure to do both. But don’t forget about vitamins, specifically Vitamin D. Your body runs low on Vitamin D in the winter. It may be harder to get sunshine, so fatty fish or fortified foods can help during the dreary months.

We’re also pleased to let you know that your regular visit to the dentist has more health benefits than you may have thought! New medical research shows that regular dental checkups may decrease the risk of pneumonia by reducing bacteria in the mouth. There’s some more good news for all of our patients.

From all of us at Schumacher & Bauer, DDS, have a happy, safe and healthy Thanksgiving.
