Growing Healthy

Parents know they should teach their children to eat healthy, exercise and maintain great oral health. It can seem overwhelming to try to maintain a healthy lifestyle for both you and your kids, so this 5-2-1-0 plan from Head Start tries to make it simpler to remember a few keys.

From their postcard:

Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day.
Keep screen time (like TV, video games, computer) down to 2 hours or less per day.
Get 1 hour or more of physical activity every day.
Drink 0 sugar-sweetened drinks. Replace soda pop, sports drinks and even 100% fruit juice with milk or water.
