Friday is National Brush Day

Join kids from all over country in Friday’s National Brush Day! After eating all that sugary Halloween candy, it’s incredibly important for children to make sure they clean their teeth well. Sugary candy can cause cavities, and here’s a reminder on which candies are better for children.

Dental decay is the most common childhood chronic disease, and oral disease causes kids to miss 51 million hours of school of year–and adults lose 25 million hours of work every year due to oral disease as well. If children take better care of their teeth and are more aware of the importance of great oral health, we can work together to cut down on those lost hours.

Spread the word about National Brush Day, and be sure your children remember to brush 2 times per day for 2 minutes each time.
